Massage Therapy Schools in Detroit

You can train today to become a massage therapist at one of several massage therapy schools in the Detroit area. Everest Institute has campus locations in the cities of Dearborn, Detroit and Southfield. If you have a natural ability for touch and you would like to earn a living helping others relieve stress and feel better, massage therapy could be a good career fit for you.

At Everest, you can learn from instructors with real-world experience. You learn in small classes where you can receive a high-quality education. You can participate in stimulating class projects, and learn quicker and better. What you learn in class is what you can expect to perform on a real job. Your program can be completed in nine months, which means you may have an opportunity to find employment in your field in less than a year from the day you start your program.

Massage therapists may be able to find entry-level employment with physicians, chiropractors, and other health care professionals.

In 2011, Michigan massage therapists earned a median yearly entry-level wage of $17,200. Those in the median annual pay range earned $30,700 for the same year. During 2008, Michigan employed 3,120 massage therapists. This number is expected to increase by 14 percent from 2008 to 2018.*
